Like a leaky faucet that eventually dies
the cataclysmic, irreversible tide
Just as soon as it swallowed, I felt it again
the creeping suspicion; you're a means to an end
And the hands that reach so near
from a mind that hardly can think clear
And the sheep that graze outside
the static pull from a hazy tide
But if you had an urge to leave
if you were a wolf, like me
If the future would cough up its roots and die
I hope you'd feel like you had tried
But I'm not perfect, you understand
you have a better conception of a realistic plan
And this is far too sensitive for your eyes
and your guitar gently weeps there by your side
In a world where I am free
I can sing and chase after what suits me
But in this murky, stagnant pond
I can't help but think of the times you've gone
And the sheep that graze outside
the static pull from a hazy tide
Some nights I can hear the call
And I brace myself against the wall
I'm not perfect, I understand
you have a better conception of a realistic plan
And this is far too sensitive for your eyes
and your guitar gently weeps there by your side
In a world where I am free
I can sing and dance and do what suits me
But in this murky, stagnant pond
I can't help but think of the times I've won
Emotional and ethereal, each track of stands well on its own while also forming a strong and cohesive album that's an amazing expeience listening to. I've felt at ease, happy, and sad listening to this incredible album, and I've fallen in love with. I've no definitive favorite, but I'll set mine to be the track that makes me most happy. njs
