Stitches 03:22
You were the stitches and I was the fabric held me together I just couldn’t have it Hallways were always the easiest place for us to meet And there on the corner you waited for him heart on your sleeve and he’s there on a whim Alleys are valleys that hold you so low to the ground Holding back tears for the first time in years Never could access the feelings or fears Strong in your sundress and asking, “are you proud, are you proud of me?”

In a jar 03:10
Prone to wander, near or far I tremble at the thought of where you are Bring you up in certain crowds but careful how I make those sounds Hazy day or so they say The nest was hidden til you passed its way Can’t say I’m sorry for you can’t keep it in a jar can’t say it like I want to just tell me where you are In the sun the branches hung the summer heat, the arm where you were stung Pull the stinger with my knife and taste your blood, the red metallic life grinning with my teeth stained red I fell asleep and dreamt behind the shed Dreamt I saw the turning page some things still don’t sit right as I age Can’t say I’m sorry for you can’t keep it in a jar can’t say it like I want to just tell me where you are

You were tired, you were trashed always talking way too fast telling me your every thought drinking all the wine I brought Fill it up to pour it out can’t help but compare yourself to all your friends and what they do can’t you see what’s good in you? Bet you wish for something else somewhere deep inside it makes no difference to me but you could be happy In you I think I met my match kneeling in that berry patch wearing someone else’s clothes tell me what do you suppose brought us to this place and time young and dumb and full of rhymes? Can’t believe you loved me back can’t believe you loved me back Threw a pebble in the pond just like that and we were gone ripples carried us away blurred into another day Bet you wish for something else somewhere deep inside it makes no difference to me but you could be happy

At the park 03:16
It was just you and i at the park that day I think it was a week ago approaching dark when we got there but we didn’t think much about it we followed the path to a bench when the wind picked up blowing cool as black clouds rolled in overhead like a dark curtain with patches of light it open ed, and the rain started to fall so i opened the umbrella and we sat down to watch I asked if you wanted to go back to the car you said yes and we ran through the rain i held your hand I closed the umbrella then so I wouldn’t get struck by lightning but we agreed it would be pretty funny if I did we made it back to the car and sat there until the rain stopped, watched the sky turn from gray to white and orange and purple then once the rain stopped we walked back around the park walked the same path as before, there were puddles and we jumped in them and then you stopped me and I saw the deer, frozen in the field, staring at us and we stood there and held one other and held their gaze I thought it was funny like they were looking straight through us like we weren’t even there

It's yes 03:28
Sorry if I don’t have much to say when she’s away Cause my girl gets me high she knows me well sticks by my side And she’ll play you just because she don’t have to but she does saw the question in her eyes and with confidence replied got my answer and it’s yes So put a record on any old one and I’ll sing along Don’t need too much else I’ll play my guitar I’ll keep to myself And although we’re miles apart I just knew it from the start there’s a sea beyond the bridge that’s the place we’ve got to get got my answer and it’s yes
6.
You run through my head like wine my only recourse when the sun's in your eyes and I'm walking home When you set my soul on fire pressed your love inside me still I hold you, my careless love won't you stay beside me? The little voices of rivers change and I could know no other

The escape 03:20
Looking at some time for an uncommitted crime and the witness wouldnt budge as they sat before the judge Just a victim to the law he set to take the fall and so the sentence came some thirty years and change but he kept a flame alive yea he burnt it in his mind "I’ll see the sun again, I’ll hold her close and then" A decade passed or so with no chance of parole seems the walls are closin’ in seems my stomach’s growing thin What else could make a man take matters in his hand? So he dug all winter long the escape was set for dawn he took off through the yard shot down by the guards With a frantic dying breath he watched the sun ascend

Lost & found 03:16
Don’t want to believe the lies you’re telling yourself it happened again You wait for a ride your shift was over at 5 you just like hanging around "Old and getting older" you say to yourself well who calls you out when you’re wrong? Say you’re looking tired as you stretch and yawn but you liked it that way all along Stay locked in the house but then at night you go out the autumn moon on the lake You reminisce innocence when you were only a kid wonder how much you can take Feeling lost but you’d rather stay where you are, you say “I’ve got my feet on the ground” seems like you prefer to just keep to yourself but how do you expect to be found?

Feeling homesick all over again for a place that I've never been Well maybe once or twice in my dreams waking life just ain't what it seems Walking down the roads that I know killing time until I have to go Double parked on the 4th of July fireworks and 4-way lights All our neighbors were cursing your name you just smiled and laughed all the same Walking down the roads that I know killing time until I have to go Won't you walk a while with me cause I got places and people to see If I see them before my time I'll be glad that you're by my side

Arrow 05:23
Draw your arrow taut and thin set your sights and do me in if all is fair in love and war who's keeping score? I guess I'll keep it moving on I thought I held you, I was wrong I'll get to where I'm going soon just meet me there You're the moon and I'm the sea cause you're so beautiful to me So blur your edges into mine and we'll be fine I scribbled 8 words in the dark "don't want to make my life this hard" Wish I knew where I'm going to or who I am

Spinning 03:49
Out on the corner just waiting for him holding your breath til your head starts to spin This was the longest you’ve lived in one place wore the same smile without changing your face Drink up and smile it’s the last time you will late to the party no buzz to be killed Called out of work just to stay home in bed silent alarm going off in your head Tell me the secrets you carry around cursing your friends in this nobody town Tempting the memory, well what’d you expect? cause what I remember I choose to forget
